Before

How do I talk to you, and book you if we’re  interested?

You can start by filling out our contact form, including the date you’re hoping to elope. We’ll check our team’s calendars and let you know if we’re available. If we aren’t, you can email us back with some alternate dates (if you’re flexible). Once we’ve found a date when we can work with you, we’ll  send you a link to schedule a time to talk, usually by Zoom. Bring your ideas, your questions, and anything else you want to discuss!

Once you’ve decided to hire us, we’ll send you a contract and an invoice for a non-refundable retainer (or our full fee, if it within 60 days of your wedding). Once this is paid, you’ve got a spot on our calendar, and we’ve got your back in putting together a simple and elegant elopement!

How do handle payment?

Our invoices contains a link to PayPal (where you can also pay by credit card), info on our Venmo account, and our mailing address if you’re paying by check or money order.

What happens  between booking you and our elopement date?

We’ll send you emails with questionnaires to gather all the important info about your big day (your choice of script, ceremony details, and your choices for cake & champagne). We confirm everything by email the week before your wedding, and we meet you 10-15 minutes prior to your ceremony to get ready to marry you!

Can you recommend some locations? Can I get a list of these?

Yes! We love hearing about your ideal location and recommending places we know will be perfect for you! Because our recommended locations are part of our “secret sauce,” we don’t divulge the specific locations until you’ve booked us. We can, however, show you some of the photos we’ve taken there though!

Are there travel fees?

Travel within the greater Capital Region (from Hudson to Saratoga Springs) is included. If you’d like to marry in the Hudson Valley or the Adirondacks, a travel fee of $200-400 will apply. Ask us for details.

Can I book just your Officiant or just your Photographer?

We offer packages because we love making your elopement planning simple and stress-free, and part of that includes a team of an Officiant and Photographer who work great together! Our package price is incredibly reasonable for the service and quality you receive. If you have any other questions about this, let us know!

Do you also do video?

We don’t offer video with our packages, but if you’d like, we can recommend some videographers once you’ve booked!

Can you hold a date for us while we’re deciding our plans?

Because of the volume of inquiries we get, we cannot hold a date without payment of a retainer and a signed contract. We confirm our availability on a first-come, first-served basis, which is fairest to all involved. We recommend having a few backup dates in mind if your first choice is not available, and then booking us as soon as you’re certain of your date.

What is included in the package?

An Officiant to legally marry you and file the paperwork, location recommendations, your choice of ceremony, Couple’s Cake & Champagne (or zero-proof option), 60 minutes of professional photography, and an online gallery of your photos within 30 days of wedding.

Can we add custom options?

We offer additional photography, personal choice of florals, and enough Cake & Champagne (or zero-proof option) for up to 24 guests for an additional fee.

We’re a gay/queer/nonbinary/something else couple. Are you okay with that?

We wholeheartedly believe that love is love and we are down to help you celebrate that!

During

What kind of pictures do you take with your package?

We have enough time to photograph your ceremony, a toast (with included Cake & Champagne), some guest/family photos, and then approx. 20-30 minutes of couple’s portraits in and around your elopement location. If you’d like to add some getting ready photos, dinner at a restaurant, or another location for photos, we’d recommend adding another hour of photography.

What do we do if it rains?

Embrace it! None of us can change the weather.

What we can do though is take shelter if it’s raining at “go time” (which is why we always recommend making a “Plan B”), keep an eye on the weather to head outside if it ever lets up, pop outside with some umbrellas, or say fuck it and go do some portraits in the rain!

We’re not exactly comfortable in front of the camera (which is why we’re not having a big wedding!). Is this okay?

Our photographers have tons of experience and lots of tips and tricks. They know how to help you relax and interact genuinely with each other, which nets the most authentic photos!

After

How many final images do we get? Can we use them however we want?

We shoot a lot of images on the day so that we can then edit them down to about 100 amazing photos that you will LOVE. You will receive an online gallery for any personal (aka non-commercial) use!

When do we get them?

We know you can’t wait to see them! You’ll receive your edited gallery within 30 days after your wedding.

Do you back up things up?

We do keep a backup copy of your final gallery for at least a year, but we HIGHLY recommend that you make several backups yourself in case anything happens to one of them!
